Colnago C59

I’m not a big fan of Tommy Voeckler, but he is lucky to have Colnago as a sponsor. This Colnago C59 was picked up as an upgrade over a customers other road bike.  His alloy Colnago that had proven to be a bit harsh for him over the longer distances. While the 1.5 pound in weight that it has dropped over his previous bike has proven to be a bonus. Colnago’s renowned road smoothing ride has definitely ticked all the boxes for the long days in the saddle.

In addition the Zipp, Speedplay and Fizik finishing kit with the new Campag Chorus groupset make it look and feel like a real Pro’s bike.
16.6lb all in build weight with 2 bottle cages.

So time for some new shoes. This week we will be mainly installing a nice set of Campagnolo Bora one tubular wheels.  These Itailian wheels with ceramic bearings keep the Colnago C59 rolling along, all wrapped up in Challenge’s hand made Strada Pro tyres for race proven grip.
